Do you have an in-depth understanding of the part that agronomy plays in a productive, profitable agricultural setting?  Are you keen to roll your sleeves up and work with our farm managers? Can you offer practical advice, delivered in plain English, to enable best practice farming systems? Would you thrive on working collaboratively with specialist advisors across a range of disciplines to provided integrated outcomes?

 

As a core member of our new Sustainability and Farming Systems team, our Farm Specialist roles have been created to work collaboratively with our farm staff as true partners, working to educate and find solutions.  We are recruiting for a Farm Specialist Agronomy to partner with our farm staff in deciding which seeds to sow and which fertilizer to use.  You’ll assess soil health and advise on appropriate feed programmes.  Our farm managers value the input from our advisors and see them as one of the elements to their success in running the most profitable farm system that they can. 

 

As innovators in agriculture, we strive to have the highest levels of expertise in farming. We are introducing changes in how we operate by significantly investing in our systems and processes to better serve on-farm performance.  Our Farm Specialist Agronomy will be able to scrutinize new technology and ag practices and drive adoption of new technology when its warranted.  They’ll also be open to new ways of farming and will change their advice proactively to keep up with farming advancements. 

 

We are committed to looking after our environment, with environmental KPIs established for each property that we are entrusted with.  Our Farm Specialist Agronomy will form one part of a cooperative advisory group that is made up of animal, environment, and agronomy specialists who collectively play an important role in Pāmu’s success story for productivity, profitability and positive environmental outcomes.
